Coaching

Coaching is a process where a coach supports you to make a change, learn something new or achieve your goals. The process of coaching happens through conversation, and can take place face-to-face, over the phone, or online. Working with a coach offers a number of benefits. Regardless of your aims, dedicating time and space to personal/professional development helps to improve confidence and a sense of self-worth.

Coaching provides quality professional development for school leaders to impact lasting, transformational change. A key belief that underpins coaching is that we already have the answers we need within us. This is always true of school leaders. As your coach, I will help you find these answers. This is done through a number of conversational techniques including questioning, active listening, observation and reflecting back.

When these techniques are used, you gain greater self-awareness and often an insight you hadn’t seen previously. Having a non-biased, non-judgmental person available to provide focused attention gives you space to understand how to move forward.

Coaching can often be about discovering what is really holding you back and finding a way to overcome this, starting an exciting and impactful journey of self-discovery and growth.

Working with me as a coach will enable you to:

  • find clarity about your values, goals, wants, and needs.
  • look objectively at perceived barriers and how to overcome these. Find out what is really holding you back and work out how to address this.
  • improve your resilience, wellbeing, self-awareness, self-belief, and confidence.
  • set clear actions in place to create lasting change.
  • improve your performance professionally.
  • make decisions about your future.

As an accredited DISC practitioner, we can use DISC profiling to explore personality types, raise self-awareness and improve effectiveness.
